My client have been developing and executing renewable energy projects across Europe for 25 years and have realised installations worldwide worth an annual investment of 300M euros. The organisation has expertise in: site acquisition & development, engineering, project financing and construction of wind & solar projects. Likewise they provide operation & maintenance services to these projects and can therefore be considered a ‘Build, Own, Operate’ developer of Renewable assets.

Due to an increased demand for Solar PV projects in Germany my client are seeking to add to their already established team another experienced engineer who can develop and progress as the team / business continues to grow over the coming months/years.
 
The profile of the opportunity is detailed below:
 
The Responsibilities
  • Design solar projects, at a preliminary or detailed level using appropriate software
  • Define technical parameters and specifications for components and works execution
  • Define bills of quantities for suppliers and draft scopes of work for subcontractors
  • Provide expertise during project implementation, remotely and if necessary on site
  • Ensure compliance with codes and regulations during project implementation
  • Support the preparation of post-construction documentation
  • Lead and support the transfer of know-how to other subsidiaries of my client’s business
The Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s Degree) in electrical engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the photovoltaic industry
  • Experience in solar construction processes would be an asset
  • Experience using energy modelling programs such as PVsyst and/or design SW (Autocad etc.)
  • Fluent in English, German and another language would be advantageous
  • Able to work both independently and within a team
  • Entrepreneurial attitude to work
