Our Client:
The organisation was founded in 2007 and has grown rapidly to be recognised globally as a renowned provider of turnkey solar projects with 600 employees worldwide. Headquartered in the West of Germany close to the French border they have international subsidiaries in Romania, Singapore, UAE and the USA. The organisation has observed continued growth in turnover and their solar asset portfolio; having now built 92 solar plants across 25 countries. In March 2017 they achieved a major milestone: the installation of over 1 Gigawatt of solar power.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Management of international projects in the field of photovoltaic solar power plant development and construction
  • Overseeing commissioning of the project
  • Implementation of plant acceptance tests
  • Ensuring the project conforms to international and local guidelines, legislation and regulations
  • Providing technical sales support
  • Define and execute the strategy for successful project execution on time and within budget
  • Support and participate in operations management
  • Create project schedules and update executive management on progress
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to successful project delivery

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • A Degree (preferably Master’s Degree) in an appropriate Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil etc.)
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a project manager in photovoltaic solar plant construction
  • A qualification in Project Management (Prince2, APMP) would be advantageous
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally as per project requirements
  • Experience using project planning tools such as: MS project, Primavera or a suitable alternative
  • Strong knowledge of construction based contracts, especially FIDIC
  • Fluent in English. German and a 3rd language would be preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and also as part of a project team
  • Computer literate
