My client is a leading solar company in the Netherlands that has now diversified their projects into floating, ground-mounted, and rooftop projects. They have installed over 150MW since they started operations and now have a pipeline of 350MW ready to be built. Their aim is to provide high quality photovoltaic solutions on a global level for businesses and investors. They’re fully focused on solar project development, EPC and O&M activities. The Position:
They need a Junior Project Manager, who will help them realise their further growth in the execution of various solar projects. In this role you will report directly into the Head of Project Management in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for supporting them in the technical, financial and logistical realisation within the approved planning of the projects. It’s crucial that you’ve had exposure to managing the implementation plans for solar projects. Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the project management and, where necessary, support of the employees in the wider construction team. It’s important that you communicate effectively with a number of individuals in the business. Ultimately, your main focus will be on drawing up various schedules and monitoring the project’s progress for the EPC of the projects.
It’s important that you’re comfortable implementing and monitoring the agreements made in the project team. Therefore, communication is key. You will have to oversee the management of materials and tools for the projects you’re assigned. Maintaining constant contact with employees inside / outside the technical business unit and with stakeholders.
As a Junior Project Manager you will have to participate in the construction, financial management and coordination of internal meetings. It’s imperative that you can manage the timely and correct execution of the work. In accordance with the working methods, quality requirements and safety regulations applicable at the business. Requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering or another technical discipline
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in solar project management
- Detailed knowledge of land classifications and local legislations
- Proven track record of working with time / budget constraints on solar projects
- Comfortable working with various industry codes, standards and design guidelines
- Willingness to travel across the Netherlands
- Fluent in English and Dutch, additional languages are a bonus
