A key client of mine based in The Netherlands is currently seeking an Overhead Lines Engineer to work on their Transmission and Distribution projects. 

Your tasks and responsibilities include:
  • The monitoring / assessing of complex engineering work in the context of design and realization matters in the field of overhead power lines. All of this in accordance with the scope defined by the client and within the set restraints
  • Managing and monitoring external contractors charged with the engineering work. You are also in charge of reviewing engineered products to be supplied by these parties
  • Drafting of technical specifications and work packages, monitoring technical compliance with both internal and external standards and regulations. And reviewing calculations, drawings, reports and analyses by third parties
  • Supervising quality, performance and applicable (inter)national standards and guidelines in the field of overhead power line design in relation to the realization of the project objectives
  • Answering questions from other engineering disciplines and/or stakeholders regarding overhead power lines
  • Representing the engineering team during the tendering phase: preparing tender documents relating to the engineering work, reviewing tender documents from third parties and attending BAFO discussions with third parties
  • Representing the engineering team during the project execution phase
  • Being the point of contact for third parties and attending project meetings (PMT meetings, engineering meetings and construction meetings).
Skills and Qualifications: 

- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology
- Minimum of three years of experience working with cables or overhead lines
- Experience working with PLS CAD is a plus 
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical mind-set and great problem solving skills
