JOB ROLE: HV/MV Engineer


SALARY: Competitive

My client is looking for an HV/MV electrical engineer looking into the HV components between the offshore wind transmission system and the onshore grid networks. Your electrical engineering experience will also be used to give ongoing support to the ongoing offshore wind projects worldwide, along with working amongst the THC team (Transformers & HV Components department) in charge of design, procurement, contract execution and final handover to OFTO and O&M as regards HV components, e.g. switchgears etc.

  • Coordinate HV Component suppliers and project members
  • Increase efficiency between physical and electrical interfaces with key stakeholders e.g. structural engineering department
  • Ensure the quality of HV component deliverables and progress in compliance with project schedules and budgets
  • Up keep of tender documentation from running, evaluation through to detailed design together with our suppliers for HV components
  • Coordinate during FAT, installation, SAT, SIT, energisation and commissioning of substations.
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Understanding of electrical system designs and subsequent solutions in HV transmission systems
  • Experience in management delivering projects with HV components and transmission systems- delivered on time, in cost and quality control
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Team ethos
  • Advantage if you your professional skills are based on relevant work experience with 150kV-400kV substations.
