Summary
Currently searching for a Senior District Heating Engineer to come and join a team securing a number of new exciting projects in London. The ideal candidate will have experience of project management or engineering in the energy sector accompanied with a degree in a relevant subject.

District Heating is considered one of the most effective methods in reducing Carbon Emissions, this coupled with the UK Government declaring a state of Environmental Emergency, the market is currently seeing massive expansion all over Europe - especially in London where the company has secured a number of high profile projects. The District Heating network is projected to continue to grow significantly and with the company renowned as a leader in the market globally, the scope for career growth is massive.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development of the business. This can include developing relationships with clients and working alongside colleagues/managers to write bids.
  • Support the project manager in delivering the project. Through design, producing calculations, developing specifications, installation, commissioning etc.
  • Managing client relationships.
  • Managing small scale projects.
 
The company believes the ideal candidate will have some knowledge surrounding:

  • An understanding of the UK energy market specifically around district heating and developments in the UK.
  • Experience designing CHP and District heating projects. This is a senior role, therefore if you have experience in: commissioning, design, feasibility, planning, modelling etc this would make you an ideal candidate.
  • Chartered or working towards chartered status.
  • Mechanical, energy or chemical background with a graduate qualification from a relatable degree (Ideally post graduate degree)
  • Understanding of the business model for District Heating in the UK specifically modelling/feasibility.
  • Experience with AutoCAD2D, AutoCAD3D, EnergyPro, Termis, GIS.
 
Some additional requirements:
  • From your previous experience, you should have a good technical understanding of low carbon technologies in combination with district heating projects.
  • Experience in the design of CHP Gas Engines, boilers and other mechanical systems.
  • Experience in operation of CHP and District Heating projects.
  • Experience in underground pipe work systems.
  • Strong record of management of project from projected finances to delivery of projects.
 Personal qualities:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Background in Business Development and Project Management.
  • Ability to speak fluently and communicate effectively in presentation and written reports.
  • Punctual and organised, capable of working to tight timescales.
