Our Client is entering the solar market one of the world’s leading specialists in renewable energies. Their business activities are mainly focused in Solar due to the growth within the industry – Large Scale, this being said they are looking to expand their solar projects across Australia .

The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful closure and execution of full delivery responsibility for this EPC project, you will have lead a project team and play a pivotal role in the success of this critical solar farm project and haver lead the project delivery of a solar team.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for achieving contractual milestones and management of liquidity, schedule, costs as per EPC(M) contracts and project baselines
  • Ensure full compliance with the QHSE regulations, legislation, standards, codes and requirements in Australia
  • Support Business Development team with preparation and evaluation of offers and bids
  • Securing of environmental, grid connection and construction permits
  • Supporting the EPC(M) contract negotiationAccountable for the successful outcome of solar PV EPC(M) projects from financial close through commissioning, energisation and handover
  •  Formal project management of EPC(M), Supplier and Sub-contracts including engineering, commercial and stakeholder aspects 
  •  Reporting to the Managing Director, the Project Manager will manage a the project team (matrix structure) and work with Business Development, Construction Management, Engineering, Consultants, Customers and local authorities to ensure financial close and compliant project execution
  • Manage and report on progress – scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, HSE, contracts etc. 
  • Implement, improve and maintain project management guidelines, processes, tools and procedures to ensure a structured project execution approach, minimize project risk and maximize performance
  • You Will Have:
  • An engineering, natural science or environmental planning degree or equivalent qualification
  •  At least 5 years of successful project management track record in the Australian power, energy or construction industry
  •   Proven track record of managing complex proprietary or standard form contracts
  •  Strong negotiation, excellent communication skills and successful at relationship building across a broad range of levels 
  •   Proven track record of managing and motivating project teams in a matrix organizational structure
  •  Team player with exceptional communication skills, a self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for renewable energies
  •  Ability to work autonomously and efficiently under pressure, with the ability to prioritize and organize own work load including flexibility in working hours as projects may require
