In a sentence, they are a global leader in seabed-to-surface engineering, construction, and services.
My client works in both the Offshore Oil & Gas and Wind markets where they focus on submarine cable / subsea umbilical installation, repair, and maintenance worldwide. They have recently realised (much like the rest of us) the danger of global warming and are committed to investing in the Offshore Wind Industry.
They pride themselves on standing by their core values of safety, integrity, innovation, performance, and collaboration. Their goal is to be acknowledged by their clients, people, and shareholders as the leading strategic partner in seabed-to-surface engineering, construction and services.
As you can see they are committed to growing multiple business units and making sure they are sustainable whilst doing so. Does this sound like the company for you? What will your responsibilities be?
As a Contract Manager you will be joining the Legal Department and report directly into the Contracts Director but acting very autonomously for your day-to-day activities. You will be acting as a support function for legal support on contract / claims management to the wider project teams.
Your main support function will be on specific projects in contractual and legal matters during the execution phase, especially in regard to compliance with contractual requirements. Working closely with the Project Manager you will assist with contractual and legal matters, on the projects they have across the globe.
It’s important that you’re a very proactive individual who can support / manage multiple ongoing projects as well as company related interfaces for contract negotiations with employers, subcontractors and suppliers for the tendering phase and during the project execution.
Essentially you will be the individual that oversees activities related to finance, cost control, QHSE, Technical / Operations Departments, and Planning. Do you think you’ll be able to do these tasks? Type of Profile I’m looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in either Law or Quantity Surveying
- International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) qualification holder
- Proven track record of conducting business in the Offshore Engineering Industry
- Fluent in English, Dutch and preferably one other language
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract negotiation, legal activities, and project execution
- Experience in the Offshore Wind Industry is highly favourable
- Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods of time
Do you have the above experience? If yes, then great! I look forward to hearing from you, please send your CV to Daniel.Hall@JDRossEnergy.com
