JOB ROLE: Head of Engineering


SALARY: Competitive


LOCATION: Belgium


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Control of technical pipeline, technological strategy and key procedures
  • Use and creation of procedures and standards that can be utilized into customer solutions
  • Identification and recruitment of technological resources in support of the division strategy and tasks
  • Management of whole engineering department allocating resources to various projects
  • Management of projects ensuring completion of projects up to standard and within budget
  • Drive the improvement of design and engineering tools
  • Be the representative for CG in technological bodies , universities and associations
  • Working together with the customer to find the best solution for his problem/request.
  • Agree lead times per complexity and follow up the agreed lead times.
  • Motivate, train and evaluate your group of engineers according the new technologies and market requests.
  • Define, initiate and install automation project and to increase throughput time.
  • Respect safety, environmental and health regulations, process and procedures
Desired Qualification and Experience
  • Master in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • Technical knowledge of transformer or high voltage transmission technology is an asset.
  • 5 year experience in a project management area
  • 10-15 years of experience in Engineering in an equivalent relevant area of technical expertise.
  • People Manager: at least 5 year experience in leading a group of engineers.
  • Knowledge (understanding) of technical software regarding tools for optimizing design and/or throughput times.
  • Team player and solution driven.
  • Very good knowledge of English
