My client is an in integrated independent renewable energy power producer that was established in 2005 and has offices in 4 different continents. Currently they have over 250MW in installed and grid connected projects, with one of them being the largest solar project in Africa. They have a development pipeline for renewable energy projects in excess of 1GW across the globe and they’re going to need your help to continue their success into the business’ 15th
To do this we’re looking for someone with a proven track record in project finance, debt / equity fund raising, financial modelling and finance deal closing internationally in the renewable energy sector. We need someone who will contribute to the overall success of the organisation by actively raising finance to support renewable energy projects and effectively manage the corporate funding / investment requirements for the business.
This role will allow you to be immediately involved in growing my client’s portfolio of renewable energy projects across the world, with a direct contribution to revenues and the overall success of the company. Ultimately, you will have a lot of responsibility in this position and you’ll have a direct impact on the company’s strategy for the foreseeable future.What will you be doing?
In this role you will be assuming full responsibility for all financing needs including; capital raising, financial modelling, and deal-making to support growth strategies across international markets. Additionally, you will have to ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements for the business.
To do this effectively you will be forecasting cash flow positions, related to borrowing needs, and concluding what funds are available for current / future renewable energy projects. This will mean that you will be regularly advising the senior management team on the liquidity aspects to efficiently create both short and long-term investment plans.
This role will require you to be comfortable consulting senior management teams because you’ll be reporting directly to the Deputy CEO about hedging mechanisms to mitigate financial risks. What are the minimum requirements?
- University Degree in Business Administration or Economics
- Minimum of 5 years’ project finance experience in the renewable energy market
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the corporate financing or banking sectors
- Fluent in English and another European languages is seen as an advantage
- If applicable, relocating to Dublin
- A proven track record in: raising and closing financing for renewable energy projects; developing relationships with institutional investors; and closing project financing with Development Finance Institutions
