Our client is a trusted provider of high-quality renewable energy and energy-saving solutions to a wide range of commercial customers nationwide, including businesses, governments and non-profits. The company provides financed end-to-end service offerings to help its customers reduce energy costs, decrease greenhouse gas emissions and demonstrate corporate sustainability. Summary

The Project Finance Analyst / Project Finance Manager is a key member of the project finance organization with responsibility for the modelling and analysis of project investments, tax equity, and debt financing transactions. The Analyst will identify key value drivers that contribute towards optimization of project funding and investment returns and present findings to senior management and other internal stakeholders. The Analyst will have the opportunity to interact with various third-party investors in supporting transaction structuring and execution of portfolio financings for the company’s portfolio of distributed generation and small-scale utility projects.

Main Responsibilties
  • Have a fundamental understanding of energy project finance, included related value drivers and financial modelling
  • Develop strong working relationships with complementary business units including the business development and acquisitions teams
  • Structure project investments with PPA agreements taking into account market pricing, counterpart credit risk, and contractual provisions.
  • Update and maintain portfolio financing models used to structure transactions with tax equity investors and lenders
  • Support transaction structuring by creating information memorandums and managing due diligence processes across different functional groups within company
  • Review projects including PPA, EPC, and O+M agreements
  • Creation and maintain pricing tools for financed solutions including PPA, lease, PACE, and other applicable financing structures
  • Understand applicable incentives and rate structures that drive financial value in distributed generation projects Complete and continually updated financial processes, applicable investment hurdle rates, and credit policy
Ideal Candidate Skills and Capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • A minimum of three years’ experience with project finance and financial modeling in the energy industry or infrastructure (preferably in the Australia energy market)
  • High level expertise in MS Excel and proficiency with other MS Office products
  • Strong presentation skills with emphasis on investor presentations
  • Able to communicate complicated and technical points clearly
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles
  • Can meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • A keen eye for process and efficiency improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills—able to collaborate within your team and other key business units and stakeholders Experience with credit analysis beneficial but not necessary
