COMPANY

Our client is a large global organisation focused on energy and power generation technologies. They are a market leader who is currently expanding into the Australian market.
The company is searching for a Development Director to overlook the market penetration, growth and sales of the organisations products and services. This person should be highly experienced across Solar Development (utility–scale) projects, have a proven and successful track record in developing new business and have an established network. The Development Director should have the passion and drive to hit the ground running and support the company in obtaining market share. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Identifying growth opportunities within the APAC markets with ability to develop and implement strategies around obtaining market share.
  • Drive key project opportunities from development to close. Managing opportunity pipeline for the region.
  • Networking with key cliental including developers, EPC’s and investors.
  • Leverage an existing network within the market.
  • Developing new business and maintaining relationships across cliental and internal stakeholders.
  • Providing solutions for possible hurtles, interacting with stakeholders to overcome these.
  • Supporting product and service improvements, staying competitive across the market.
  • Developing proposals, presentations and sales strategies.
  • Handling negotiation with vendors and service providers.
  • Writing up sales reports, budgets and reporting on progress and development.
YOU WILL HAVE
  • 10+ years in the energy space with experience across Solar Development projects.
  • High technical knowledge and understanding, ability to understand and covey technical lingo.
  • In-depth understanding of the Solar Development market, including trends, suppliers, investors, design of plant concept and CAPEX/OPEX calculations.
  • Successful track record of developing new business, winning projects and maintaining relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Highly strategic with ability to influence efficiency and collaboration.
  • Experience working across developers, EPC’s and investors.
  • Experience developing and implementing growth strategies,
  • Passionate and driven individual.
