Description and content of the mission:
Context and description of the role:
Within the LSM package, the work activities to be carried out are divided into several packages: "Works at landfall" package, "UXO investigations surveys" package, "Cable installation and burial" package, "Rock dumping" package, etc. The Package Manager is responsible for the proper execution of the studies and work carried out by the Employer`s Service Provider in connection with his package.  
It is normally attached to the LSM lot leader and interacts with other functions within the project (in particular HSE, quality, contract management, etc.).
  • Managing the documentary review of the Service Provider's deliverables relating to its package (this review can be carried out by the package manager himself, or by other actors such as TEN experts, MWS, WAMA etc...).
  • Reconciling the potential of weather standby with the package's operational activities
  • Ensuring the follow-up of Reps Clients during the operational activities linked to the package
  • To liaise with the various external actors of the project in order to ensure the smooth running of the operations of its package (FLO, MWS, AMOA, CSPS, works controller, etc.).
  • Steering the implementation of the control plan for operations linked to the package
  • Organise and lead regular meetings with the Employer’s Service Providers (e.g. cable manufacturer) in order to ensure the smooth running of the package's operations.
  • Trace and report any deviations of the customer/suppliers from the contract and/or specifications to the LSM batch manager and the contract manager;
  • To be the Client's single point of contact on the operational activities of the package;
  • Ensure good communication between each player in the package;
  • Participate in/lead follow-up meetings with suppliers (especially the cable manufacturer)
  • Contributing to the monitoring of risks and opportunities on the planning, quality and costs of the package.
  • Ensure that the package is executed in accordance with the provisions defined in the Project Implementation Plan (PIP).
  • Participate in planning review meetings and project risk review meetings;
  • Contribute to the monthly project reporting;
Prerequisites for the LSM Engineering Manager:
  • 4/5 years of higher education (engineering or postgraduate diploma, ideally specialising in maritime engineering).
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an equivalent position
  • Fluency in English and French mandatory (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated ability to perfectly coordinate and animate all the stakeholders in a project
  • Negotiation skills
  • Resistance to stress
  • Strong spirit of synthesis
  • Writing skills
  • Communication and listening skills to carry out missions successfully by integrating the multicultural dimension and organizational complexity inherent in this type of project.
