Technical Project Manager for Industrial PV Projects

Company profile
My client focuses on energy generation and energy saving for technical installations in the industry. They monitor the technical quality of the projects and have multiple offices in the BENELUX. The Dutch department is currently growing fast (now on the way to 15 FTEs). Their activities consist of:
  • Supervise the realisation of large PV installations (500 KW - 50+ MW).
  • Conducting feasibility studies, global designs, tendering, and implementation supervision.
  • Independent inspections of energy installations.
  • Energy-saving projects for industrial companies.
  • Give strategic advice on energy policy and tactical options.
  • Energy-efficient construction for new buildings.
As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for multiple PV projects at the same time. Your role is to keep an overview of the various projects and to ensure that the team meets deadlines and contractual requirements. In some situations, you carry out the advisory work yourself, and in other projects, you coordinate the work between you and your colleagues. Involved from the feasibility phase up to and including the delivery of the project. You will work on:
  • Feasibility studies (technical matters, business cases, subsidies)
  • Checking the design file
  • Assess and monitor the construction planning
  • Leading construction meetings
  • Minimal weekly supervision of the construction site
  • Inspecting the contractor's activities
  • Responsible for the DC and AC side of the PV system and earthworks
  • Testing ideas and adjusting the contractor in the event of incorrect execution
  • Carrying out delivery inspections for the projects
This role is a broad position within the Dutch PV market, of which you are on location for a large part of the time. Based on your solid technical knowledge, you will guide the construction processes and monitor the quality of the projects.
To be successful in the role described, you must have good communication skills and a good understanding of project management in the energy sector.
Job requirements
  • Minimum of HBO qualification.
  • Prove track record in engineering for solar projects.
  • Three years of relevant experience with energy projects.
  • By nature, you are someone who takes the lead in projects.
  • You get energy from dealing with industrial customers.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both in writing and orally.
