Construction Site Manager - Ireland - Onsite - PV Projects


My client is an electricity producer and service provider including Development, EPC, O&M, and Distribution from wind, solar, hydro, biomass, and storage. With a global presence in 20 countries, they can offer global operating capacity to their clients.


Their EPC branch is seeking experienced Site Managers to bolster their construction projects in Ireland on their PV projects that are between 75MW-140MW. These roles may be stationed in various locations such as Dublin, Galway, or Longford.


Responsibilities:
The Site Manager will oversee the management, coordination, and execution of all site activities for the construction project, including but not limited to:
  • Supervising the site team (excluding HSE), including site supervisors (mechanical, electrical, civil), warehouse manager, and quality managers.
  • Managing all subcontractor work, ensuring adherence to HSE documents and contractual requirements.
  • Monitoring production rates and project execution, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, design specifications, and permits.
  • Establishing and maintaining on-site offices and facilities.
  • Providing daily progress reports to the Project Manager and preparing weekly reports.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks that could cause delays or additional costs.
  • Offering value-added alternatives for project execution.
  • Sharing insights and experiences from on-site work.


Requirements:
  • A technician degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in construction projects, preferably in the energy sector in solar or wind.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, planning, and reporting tools.
  • Fluency in English, with additional languages considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of HSE requirements is good to have.
  • Flexibility for travel across Ireland to different sites.
  • Excels in creative problem-solving, especially during critical projects or on-site crises.
  • Possesses leadership and planning abilities.
