About the Client

• Team is expanding and requires a Team Lead to join the Distribution Design Engineering team.
• A market leader in delivering engineering services for power utilities, including generation, substations, transmission and distribution, automation & control, and telecommunications.
• Work with major distribution and transmission network power and telco providers, including those in the mining sector.

About the Role

• Manage a team of engineers, ensuring a high quality of solutions and designs are delivered.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate project execution and align stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure and enhance quality assurance processes for all team projects.
• Supervise the preparation and compilation of relevant documentation to support design submission.

Preferred Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Enigneering.
• 10 years' minimum engineering experience.
• Skilled in conducting feasibility assessments, technical compliance audits, quality assurance inspections and detailed design activities. 
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of Ergon & Energex technical standards.
• Demonstrate experience working in subdivision and with large connection customers.
• Proven experience in distribution and sub-transmission design for overhead and underground networks (AS7000 and AS3008 experience desirable).
• Familiar with PLS-CADD, CYMCAP and CATAN.
• Driver's License - QLD
