Utility Scale Solar - Project Coordinator (Rural New South Wales) 

Our market leading client within the Solar Construction sector are actively looking for an experienced Solar Project Coordinator to join their team for a HUGE Utility Scale Solar project in Rural New South Wales. 

Responsibilities of the position: 
  • You will assist the Project Manager/Construction Manager with all project performance factors: Costing, scheduling + safety/quality responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with coordinating construction, planning & identifying risks
  • Responsible for resolving project technical issues 
  • Perform quantity takeoffs/surveys to manage contract progress and report this information to the Managers
  • Develop & maintain relationships with partners/shareholders by issuing tender packages & clearly defining scope of work across the project 
  • Provide assistance with change management/change order process which can include pricing, processing + assessing cost/schedule impact
  • Administer request for information and shop drawing and submittal process. 
  • Assists with pre-commissioning or commissioning across the project as required
  • Assists with overall project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance, and warranty

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field. 
  • 2–4 years construction industry experience (Solar farm experience preferred)  
  • Extensive knowledge of construction industry including equipment/techniques, drawings/specifications, building materials, quality, safety, construction sequences and building codes (Knowledge in solar farm construction preferred)  
  • Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles to construction challenges and present solutions.  
  • Ability to create a comprehensive schedule and administer subcontracts and contract documents. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. 
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software; knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
