Permit Specialist – Amsterdam (Hybrid)

What will you do?
  • Ensure project compliance with Dutch and EU environmental laws, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Monitor legislative changes that affect solar and BESS projects.
  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on permit applications to Dutch authorities at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Serve as the primary contact for government agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage concerns and negotiate conditions to obtain permit approvals.
  • Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments and other required environmental studies.
  • Work with consultants and in-house experts to ensure ecological compliance.
  • Assess risks associated with the permitting process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Integrate permit-related requirements into project planning.
  • Inform local stakeholders about the benefits and importance of solar and BESS projects.


What do you need?
  • Track record of permit obtainment and thorough understanding of the process.
  • Recent experience in renewable project permitting is a must, but background from other industries acceptable.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of the energy industry, as well as Dutch policy.
  • Experience in community participation and engagement.
  • Proactive approach and motivation to be an active part of the energy transition in the Netherlands.
  • Interest and drive to work on innovative technologies and find creative solutions to the challenges in the Dutch industry.
