Project Manager - Dublin - Wind/Solar/BESS - Engineering consultancy in Renewable Energy


My client is an is an engineering consultancy business specializing in renewable energy and sustainability projects. It is a new and exciting start-up, so they are looking for someone who is not afraid to ask questions but is also willing to try and work out problems for themselves.
They collaborate with forward-thinking clients who share their vision, and they are on the lookout for individuals who resonate with their ethos. As a tight-knit team, we value seamless integration and swift adaptability.


Responsibilities
Project Management:
  • Lead renewable energy projects, including wind farms, solar farms, and battery energy storage systems, throughout development, pre-construction, and construction phases primarily in Ireland and occasionally the UK.
  • Overseeing project budgets, schedules, and documentation utilizing industry-standard software.
  • Prepare project cost estimates, monitor project expenditures, and maintain project risk registers.
  • Manage the project team and coordinate with various departments.
  • Ensure compliance with Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) or Principal Designer (PD) regulations.
  • Prepare technical documents for construction contracts and manage planning condition discharge.
  • Facilitate grid connection negotiations and construction contract administration.
  • Conduct construction meetings and manage interfaces between stakeholders.


Person Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Ideally 3-5 years’ experience in project management, preferably in renewable energy.
  • Familiarity with wind farms, solar farms, or battery energy storage systems.
  • Proficiency in managing construction contracts, ideally FIDIC contracts.
  • Full driving license and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communicator with adeptness in leading meetings and producing professional documents.
  • Ability to work from our Dublin office (hybrid working possible).
