JDRoss ae partnered with a project developer in renewable energy who are looking for a financial controller to join their team.
 
  • Working closely with the local development team and Finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and further developing the accounting processes in the UK.
  • Work with the development team to ensure that capital expenditure is controlled, and risks are identified early.
  • Responsible for all project costs OPEX and CAPEX, and for reconciliation of costs spend per project.  Compare to the budget and provide explanations for variances.
Global Finance Operations
  • Managing day-to-day accounting operations - Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger management, balance sheet control, and reconciliations for with the help of local finance teams
  • Assist with management and statutory financial accounting and reporting for all operating entities / SPVs in the managed Group to ensure accurate and complete financial information.
  • Treasury activities and monthly cash flow reporting for the group.
  • Management of VAT returns for the UK entities.
  • Partner with the Europe Controllership and Financial Planning & Analysis team on the management of month-end close-to-review work completed by the teams working to tight deadlines. Activities include but are not limited to balance sheet reconciliation, regional income statement review, and review of variance analysis of actual results to forecast & plan especially for each project.
  • Oversee the timelines for all local statutory filings for all European entities.
  • Assist with the local statutory and Group audits, including ensuring audit readiness and timely responses to audit requests and preparation of draft financial statements.
  • Assist the Global Controllership team with developing and implementing robust internal controls, working with the local finance and change management teams to action business changes as necessary with a particular emphasis on efficiency.
  • Review transfer pricing calculations and manage intercompany payables and receivables.
Qualifications and Experience
  • CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience and knowledge of all financial reporting requirements in the UK.
  • IFRS accounting experience and implementation of IFRS16 and IFRS15 (not essential).
