JD Ross Energy are seeking a skilled Transmission Lines Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing engineering consultancy delivering innovative solutions across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
As a Transmission Lines Engineer, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team driving the design and delivery of HV transmission projects across Australia and beyond.

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive transmission line designs, including structure modeling and foundation engineering
Produce conceptual and detailed layouts using PLS-CADD
Model transmission structures with PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE
Design various foundation types, from standard concrete pads to deep pile systems
Conduct field inspections and site assessments as needed
Prepare technical documentation and design reports
Support proposal development and bid submissions
Collaborate directly with clients to understand project needs and explore new opportunities

About you:

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 yrs’ + experience in transmission line design
Strong proficiency in PLS software tools e.g. PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER
Knowledge of relevant engineering standards
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Effective communicator with solid interpersonal skills
Self-starter with a proactive approach to career development
