JD Ross Energy are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer.

Play a key role in delivering design services across transmission and distribution networks.
You’ll work across multiple disciplines including overhead, underground, sub-transmission and contribute to strategic design outcomes that directly impact construction efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Deliver timely and consistent design service outputs including project scopes, technical assessments, and feasibility reports
Apply safety-in-design principles and uphold WHS standards
Conduct investigations, modelling, and calculations to support design feasibility
Provide expert technical support to engineering officers and specialists
Review and certify design deliverables in line with statutory regulations and internal policies
Support stakeholder engagement through technical advice, complaint resolution, and access coordination
Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
3yrs’ + experience in design roles within energy, utilities, construction, or consulting sectors
Proficiency in tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, CYMCAP and Neara
Experience in sub-transmission and distribution design, specifically overhead and underground
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Valid driver’s licence and relevant construction induction certifications
