JDRoss have partnered with a BESS platform who are developing a 2.5GW portfolio. Partnered with one of the notorious banks in Germany and the world, they are looking for the first 800MW of this to go into development in early 2028.
With two billion euros in investment over the next two years, the origination manager will be crucial to success of this pipeline and business. The role will be to take commercial responsibility for the marketing of electricity and flexibility, thereby making a key contribution to the bankability and returns of projects.
This is not a trading role, but a strategic-commercial key position at the interface of market, financing, and project development.
Core Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for off-take, commercialisation and revenue strategies for large-scale battery energy storage systemsDevelopment and implementation of revenue stacking strategies (Day-Ahead, Intraday, aFRR/mFRR)Market monitoring, regulatory analysis, and identification of new revenue models in the German and European energy markets.Structuring, negotiating, and closing tolling agreements, commercialisation, and aggregator contractsEnsuring the bankability of revenue contracts for investors and financing partnersCommercial support of projects from development phase through to operations
Required Profile
Several years of experience in energy commercialisation, energy trading, or flexibility marketingDirect exposure to energy assets such as Wind, solar OR BESS.Strong knowledge of relevant markets: EPEX SPOT (Day-Ahead, Intraday) OR Ancillary services (aFRR, mFRR)Solid understanding of the German regulatory framework for energy.Proven experience in negotiating complex commercial contractsFluent German and English
