A rapidly growing European energy company is seeking an Tender Manager to support on their energy efficiency projects. 

This role sits at the front end of project development and is responsible for transforming customer opportunities into technically robust and commercially viable solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial teams, customers, engineering partners and suppliers to develop winning proposals for industrial and commercial energy efficiency projects.

The position offers significant autonomy, direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence projects from concept stage through to contract award.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the identification and development of new energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for industrial and tertiary-sector customers.
  • Conduct energy audits and establish energy baselines.
  • Identify and assess energy efficiency improvement measures.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility, commercial viability and project risks.
  • Prepare cost estimates, project budgets and financial assessments.
  • Coordinate external engineering partners, consultants and service providers.
  • Manage supplier engagement, qualification processes and commercial negotiations.
  • Calculate projected energy savings and assess available incentive mechanisms.
  • Support the preparation of technical contract documentation, guarantees and project scope definitions.
  • Act as the technical interface with customers throughout the proposal phase.
  • Lead technical discussions with clients, EPC contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by developing standardised proposal processes and sharing best practices across the organisation.

Candidate Profile

Essential
  • Degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience developing proposals, bids, tenders or offers for energy efficiency projects.
  • Experience gained within an ESCo, EPC contractor, engineering consultancy or energy services environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial and commercial energy efficiency technologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, commercial documentation and contractual requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
  • Fluent Italian and professional English language skills.

Desirable
  • Experience with industrial energy audits.
  • Knowledge of energy performance contracting (EPC).
  • Understanding of energy efficiency incentive frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous exposure to both proposal development and project execution activities.
  • Energy management certifications or equivalent professional qualifications.
