HV Test Manager – High Voltage Testing & Termination
A rapidly growing high-voltage engineering company is seeking an experienced HV Test Manager to lead and expand its onshore testing and termination activities in the Netherlands.
Historically focused on offshore wind termination projects, the company is now investing heavily in the growth of its onshore testing business. This is not simply a replacement hire but a strategic position offering the opportunity to build, develop and shape a key business unit within an ambitious organisation backed by investors.
The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in high-voltage testing with the leadership skills required to manage teams, develop processes and support the company's continued expansion.

A rapidly growing high-voltage engineering company is seeking an experienced HV Test Manager to lead and expand its onshore testing and termination activities in the Netherlands.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in high-voltage testing with the leadership skills required to manage teams, develop processes and support the company's continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and further develop the company's HV testing and cable termination activities.
- Act as the technical authority for high-voltage testing, commissioning and field operations.
- Take ownership of testing methodologies, technical procedures and quality standards.
- Provide expertise in Partial Discharge (PD) testing, diagnostics and asset integrity assessment.
- Manage and support testing activities involving: High-voltage substations, underground cable systems, cable termination works, field testing and commissioning activities.
- Oversee testing operations utilising mobile resonance testing equipment.
- Support the continued expansion of the company's onshore testing division.
- Provide technical leadership to approximately 10–20 engineers and technicians across multiple teams.
- Drive operational excellence, process improvements and technical best practice across the business.
- Collaborate closely with customers across the renewables, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
Profile
- Minimum 7 years of experience within High Voltage testing, commissioning or related activities.
- Strong background in: High Voltage testing, cable termination, Partial Discharge (PD) testing.
- Experience with: substations, underground cable systems, field testing and commissioning, testing processes and operations.
- Knowledge of the operation/setup of mobile resonance trucks.
- Previous experience in offshore wind, onshore wind, utilities, transmission or power infrastructure environments is beneficial.
- Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor engineering teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to help build and grow a business function.
- Dutch language skills are advantageous but not essential.
